Elora Festival presents
On Love
with the Elora Singers

“On Love was recorded at St James’ Anglican in Dundas, Ontario by The Elora Singers, ensemble-in-residence of the Elora Festival.  At the heart of this program is a new work, heard here for the first time, by Canadian composer, Tim Corlis.  On Love sets poetry of unity and love, by the Lebanese-American poet Khalil Gibran, and we’ll hear from composer Tim Corlis later in the program about writing this piece.   In music by, Gerald Finzi, John Sheppard, Rene Clausen, Maurice Duruflé, Arvo Pärt and others, this program contemplates love of many kinds: a spiritual love, love for one another, love for those to whom we are close, and importantly, love for those whom we do not know.”
